Trust.

During one of our Midnight Prayer meetings, our pastor gave us a prophetic word that this would be a time of contradiction. A time for the testing and trying of our faith...

In my prayer time, I began to think about certain bills that needed to be paid, and things I want to do with my life... and I said "God, I trust You, I just don't see how this whole thing is gonna happen..."

Then God began to reveal to me what it really means to trust God, or anybody for that matter. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said "When you trust someone to do something, you don't need to know how they're gonna do it. You just believe that they will." So if you can't see how a person is gonna do something, and that hinders your believing then you don't really trust that person. Same rules apply to trusting God.

I believe God gave me an AWESOME example: Let's say that Saks 5th Ave put in the paper that they're gonna have a sale on Saturday. Unless you're worked in retail before, you don't know how much work goes into preparing for a sale. To be honest, most of you probably don't care (I know I don't!) All I know is, when I show up Saturday Morning, them prices better be marked at 80% OFF! LOL

Same goes with fast food, when you order a burger, most of us don't know the process that they go through when making the burger! All you know is, I better get what I paid for in less than 5 min.!

It seems like when it comes to the natural we know it's gonna happen, no questions asked. But when it comes to believing God, we want to know Every. Single. Detail.

The Almighty God that I serve has the ability to reveal all things to us. So what happens when He doesn't?

Trust.

Just how trust Saks to have a sale, and Burger King to bring out your burger, trust God--minus the details. It wouldn't be faith if you knew exactly how everything was going to come to pass.

Even when the contradictions come, let God be true, and every man be a liar! If God gave you a dream, an idea, or if you have something you're believing for, trust that God will bring it to pass!

There are SOOOOO many scriptures that come to mind that support what I'm saying, but I'll leave you with this:

Just as rain and snow descend from the skies
and don't go back until they've watered the earth,
Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,
producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry,
So will the words that come out of My mouth
not come back empty-handed.
They'll do the work I sent them to do,
they'll complete the assignment I gave them.

- Isaiah 55:10-11 Message Translation

Trust in God. He will do what He said.

Stay Hungry!
